NZMA's advocacy, decision-making, unity, and values are only as strong as our collective voice, represented by our Board and Councils, and benefiting our colleagues, communities, and patients.
Now is the chance to add your voice to our leadership groups, and put your nominations in for the 2021 NZMA Board and Council Elections. Please see below for more information and refer to the information handbook.
In accordance with constitutional rules and by-laws for the New Zealand Medical Association (NZMA), nominations are invited for five positions on the NZMA Board.
• Chair
• Deputy Chair
• Three member positions
Chair and Deputy Chair nominees must have at least three years post-graduate medical practice. Only NZMA members who are registered medical practitioners and usually reside in New Zealand are eligible to be nominated for Board member positions.
All nominations must have the endorsement of the nominee. Please note: all elected members will have a term of office of two years.

In accordance with Bylaw 2 of the New Zealand Medical Association, nominations are invited for four member positions on the Specialist Council.
Nominees must be NZMA members who are from the Specialist membership of NZMA, and must be nominated by a fellow NZMA member who is also a Specialist.
All nominations must have the endorsement of the nominee.

In accordance with Bylaw 3 of the New Zealand Medical Association, nominations are invited for two member positions on the Doctors-in-Training Council.
Nominees must be NZMA members who are RMOs or GP Trainees, and must be nominated by a fellow NZMA member who is also an RMO or GP Trainee.
All nominations must have the endorsement of the nominee.
