NZMA Board and Council Elections

Call for Nominations

Notice of NZMA Elections 2022: Call for Nominations

In accordance with constitutional rules and by-laws for the New Zealand Medical Association, nominations are invited for the following open positions on NZMA’s representative Board and councils:

Now is your chance to be part of our leadership. Have your voice heard where change begins, and decisions are made.

Nominations are open for the following vacancies:

NZMA Board

  • Two member positions

Only NZMA members who are registered medical practitioners and usually reside in New Zealand are eligible to be nominated for Board member positions.

Doctors-in-Training Council

  • Five member positions

Doctors-in-Training Council nominees must be doctors-in-training members of NZMA, including RMOs and GP Trainees.

N.B. NZMA members can be nominated for more than one vacant position, provided they are eligible for both.

Representing as a member of the NZMA Board and Councils is a unique opportunity to have your voice heard among leaders and decision makers in the medical sector, and advocate for your peers, colleagues, patients and the public.

Nominees and nominators must both be financial members of NZMA. All nominations must have the endorsement of the nominee. If more nominations are received than the positions available, an election will be held.
