NZMA is your professional organisation, and will play a key role throughout your professional life, from your current practice right through to retirement.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves, and what we do for our specialist members.
NZMA is here to support you, advocate for you, and provide guidance and advice when you need it.
Our role is to provide essential advocacy, support, and leadership to the medical profession, representing your views to politicians, government, and education providers. For our specialist members, that means advocating for you on policy and legislation, funding, workforce pipeline issues, and representation and equity.
To further focus our efforts, NZMA has a Specialist Council. Elected from our specialist members, the SPC meets to discuss issues specific to specialists, public health, and advocates on your behalf on issues that will benefit both your professional environment as well as your patients.
