Notice of NZMA elections 2019 

In accordance with constitutional rules and by-laws for the New Zealand Medical Association (NZMA), nominations are invited for the following positions:

NZMA Board

  • Chair
  • Deputy Chair
  • Four member positions

Note: Only NZMA members who have at least three years post graduate medical practice are eligible to be nominated for Chair and Deputy Chair positions.
Note: Only NZMA members who are medical practitioners registered and usually resident in New Zealand are eligible to be nominated for the Board member positions.

 

General Practitioner Council

  • Five member positions

Note: Only GP members are eligible to be nominated for GP positions.

 

Specialist Council

  • Five member positions

Note: Only Specialist members are eligible to be nominated for Specialist positions.

 

Doctors-in-Training Council

  • Four member positions

Note: Only RMOs and GP Trainee members are eligible to be nominated for Doctors-in-Training positions.

Nominees and nominators must be financial members of the NZMA and all nominations must have the endorsement of the nominee. If more nominations are received than the positions available, an election will be held.
 
NOMINATIONS CLOSE 4PM THURSDAY 28 FEBRUARY 2019.
Note: Nominations can be accepted without a biography however biographies must be in by 4pm Thursday 7 March, one week after nominations close.

All elected members will have a term of office of two years.
