Clinical Director – Child and Family Unit

If you have extensive experience working in Child and Adolescent mental health and you are looking for a change and a challenge, then here is your chance to shine!

Applications are invited for this Clinical Director position from senior clinical staff with experience working with children and young people and their family/whanau within a mental health setting. While this Clinical Director role for the Child and Family unit is part-time, there is opportunity to combine it with clinical psychiatrist positions within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and other speciality services such as Eating Disorders to make a full-time position.

The Child and Family Unit, located at Starship Children’s Hospital, is the largest child and youth mental health in-patient setting in New Zealand. Our work is diverse and our approach is innovative and family centred

You will be able to demonstrate strong clinical expertise and leadership skills and must be eligible for vocational registration as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You will also have relevant post-graduate qualifications and tertiary experience.

This new role will enable you to shape the future for delivery of in-patient services to young people and to work alongside a focused and passionate team of clinicians at an exciting time of growth and development.
