We are looking for a full-time Palliative Medicine Physician/Specialist to join our dynamic and visionary hospital Palliative Care team. This permanent post is a clinical position working throughout the hospital in all adult medical and surgical services, providing consultative patient focused specialist palliative care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. We are also accepting applications for a locum position if a permanent position is not suitable for you.

Auckland City Hospital is a large tertiary institution and is a teaching hospital of the University of Auckland School of Medical and Health Sciences with active undergraduate and graduate programs.

Ideally, you should have an interest in teaching and research. You will require FAChPM qualification or equivalent and must be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council. A higher degree (MD, PhD) is desirable, but not essential. A sense of fun and love of dark chocolate are not disadvantages.
